I've been in Montreal for 2 months and a half.
Today is kinda another new start as I visited 2 appartments and went to a music video record to photograph a young female artist called IMA. The story about this is I photographed her show on a free concert during the Francofolies festival, taking place in this late July. I posted some photos I'm quite happy and proud of on a local forum. And another photographer sent me a private message telling I should send them to the artists (2 concerts of which IMA and the other is Catherine Durand who loved my photos as well) which I did. And few days after I got in touch with people of her agency who will use my photos to promote her and send to some papers... and early today, the manager called me to attend the record of her video... I took my chance and went there to photograph the "show", quite a good and exciting experience to live that. The photos will come pretty soon.Aside is one of the photos they like and select to promote her during the concert...
Last Saturday was great because I went to a "footing" to walk a little bit with some people to the Mont Royal where I met a woman who invited me to come with her and her man to the international balloons festival... an event I dreamt to go but I have no car. So here are few photos I shot that afternoon thanks to these kind french people. Hope you'll like them.

Et tu touches une petite contrepartie financière de leur utilisation ?
Sinon, sympa les photos de "hot air balloons". C'est pratique ce genre d'événements parce que les décollages ont souvent lieu le matin ou le soir quand la lumière est bonne !
non je demande rien pour le moment pour leur utilisation mais p-e plutard. Il y aura mes credits sur les photos et ca me fera de la pub gratos ds le secteur...
Pour les montgolfieres, tu as bien raison ;) C'est trop cool comme experience, premiere pour moi.
J'ai pu écouter quelques extraits sur le site de Catherine Durand (pas mal ses chansons) mais aucun extrait audio sur le site de IMA. A croire qu'ils ne reservent à l'export que des pures produits marketing style Céline et autre Garo...dommage!!
ATL la dernière fois que j'ai assisté à un décollage de montgolfières, j'ai eu la chance de pouvoir squatter une nacelle et c'était COOL ! Décollage du château de Sully sur Loire.
La manifestation était sponsorisée par le patron d'un pote, ça aide ! Sinon, l'autre truc marrant c'est de faire du repérage au sol avec les équipes qui récupèrent les nacelles. Talkie walkie pour discuter avec les équipages et on se débrouille pour arriver au bon endroit juste après l'atterrissage.
Bon, c'est loin tout ça, je ne m'intéressais pas à la photo à l'époque...
