L'Amour, qu'est-ce que c'est ?
Particularité du mot "amour"

Le mot "amour" figure parmi les trois mots de la langue française qui ont la particularité d'être masculin au singulier et féminin au pluriel. C'est ainsi qu'on dit "filer le parfait amour" mais que la chanson nous parle de nos "amours mortes". C'est aussi la raison pour laquelle vous répondez "qu'elles durent toujours" à celui ou à celle qui vous dit : "à tes amours". Les deux autres mots de la langue française à avoir cette particularité sont "orgue" et "délice". On dira donc "nos amours et nos délices infinies, belles et éternelles". C'est également ce qui a permis au célèbre auteur de chansons, Albert Willemetz, de jouer sur les mots en disant : "Il est singulier que le mot Amour ne soit du féminin qu'au pluriel."
A propos d'amour




Certaines personnes parlent d'amour mieux que d'autres. C'est sans doute le cas de la personne qui vous susurre des mots d'amour à l'oreille. Cependant les grands auteurs aussi savent nous parler d'amour avec talent. Voici donc quelques citations pour célébrer la Saint Amour :

First time racket on snow...

Hi faithful folks,

After more than 4 years and a half living in Montreal, Quebec - Canada, this afternoon, thanks volunteer people of Objectif Quebec, I finally go out for a snow racket walk. It was much fun and great to feel the cold air in the wind, and the snow beneath my feet, feeling free and watching the nature resisting a severe winter, even if this one is pretty cool ;-)

Last October 22nd, first melting snow...

The cold is settled since two weeks or so, and we had snow few days ago. Late in the evening so cannot take any picture and it didn't hold on the ground for the temperature is over 0 degree Celcius.

2 weeks ago, we've travelling and spend our long weekend in the USA, NYC.

Autumn/Fall 2009 in Canada

Already my 5th Fall season, time goes by so fast that when people ask me how long I've been living here in Canada, especially in Montreal, I used to answer it's "only" 3 or 4 years ;-)

If I correctly count, I came here in June 2005, that makes 4 years and about 4 months...

Let me share you my last trip, time of a short weekend with few people of an association for french speaking immigrants people like me and of which I've been part of since late 2005. The trip offered me the chance to sleep in a tipi (amerindian tent), visit a wild animals museum, visit a National Park of Canada in Quebec, have an indian diner, flight abord a hydroplane and watch beautiful autumn colors.

Winter Ended, Spring is there and it's still Cold somedays

Hello everyone,

Winter finally gets to its end few weeks ago. It kid of snowed few days ago but beautiful and sunny days are often there.

World Crisis took some time to reach the company where I work and it finally happens. Last Tuesday was a black Tuesday for 7 of my colleagues were "forced" to quit the boat, one in a row. Some of them are good fellas to me and it was sad to see them go, without warning, by surprise as it obviously happens here in North America. I'm from France, a country where such a thing never happens for the time I was living there, that shocked me a lot.

Anyway, life still goes on and I try to keep contact with some of them and I'm sure something better is right ahead for them and they will move on.

As to me, life is calm and everything is going fine. There're good and bad days but in general, it's OK and I'm getting along...

Latest News from Montreal, Winter 2008-2009

It's been a while since my last post.

My life becomes almost calm and a routine.

We, me and my girlfriend, are settled down in a nice little appartment, not far away from a subway station on foot, fifteen minutes away from downtown and a little bit more from my work place, less than one hour to her school for her Design classes.

This winter has lots of snow, the weather is often cold (between minus 15 and 30 Celcius) but nothing unbearable if you are dressed warm enough. To illustrate what I meant, some pictures for you here:

September 23rd, 2008 - Autumn/Fall is already there

Hi all folks,

Long time no blog since the last time.

I'm moved in since last July 1st and we all are settled up in our new and cosy appartment. It was about time that it looks like something.

Time goes by so fast and now the Fall is back, not for very long, unfortunately.

And soon afterwards, the cold and so frightened winter ;-)

Otherwise, I'm happy with my new & couple life. Not easy to deal at any moment but we get along and talk to each other very often to explain ourselves.

Work is still so-so but I have wonderful collegues for most of them.

Back in France for more than 2 weeks at the end of 2008, visiting family that I miss so much and for so long, changing and breathing fresh family and familiar air.

June, 1st

Hi folks,

This Sunday is just June the First, nothing special actually. Feeling free and feeling like to add a new post after such a long silence.

Lots had happen since the last time. Where to start? Maybe with a bad and sad news regarding an unexpected event that came to the life of mine and my lovely GF.

Late March, after a hard week of work, on a Friday evening. We discover that we are victims of our appartment robbery. Among our cheerest stolen things, most of priceless jewels, laptops and my beloved photography gear. No insurance unfotunately to ease our pain. We've been through one of the hardest days, weeks after that.

Now, things get much better. We are rebuiling our lost goods. We are moving away from the damned appartment that makes us feel uncomfortable for a while, with lots of problems unsolved with the owner. Another new life is waiting for us, right ahead. Starting from late June, early July 2008

In the meantime, let's enjoy cool music and videos together.

Happier Days Are Coming... New Life

Long time no blog, as usual or often one can say. My GF is coming back for good this Monday (Feb 4th). I'm so happy and glad after 2 years of distant relationship with short times spent together here and there. Unumbered hours on the phone almost everyday, often twice a day even our time difference (GMT-5 vs. GMT+1). Those days are almost over...

Already Another Year goes by...

Long time no blog. Here I am, more alive than ever ;-)

Busy with work and mostly, nothing much or interesting to tell so better off.

This year, new job recently so no holidays are allowed, just Dec. 24th off, exceptionally. Just passed few days with my Aunt and her family, trying hard to celebrate, but not doing something really special though. A moment to get together and talk, discuss and argue about any and everything. They're getting older, months after months, year after year. Hard to get along with, because of divergent points of views...

Anyway, I'm coming back here to share another piece of my life. About 40 days to go before I can see my GF again and live with her, hopefully happily ever after ;-) In the meantime, I'm still having a roommate to chitchat from time to time, mostly on weekend days for weekdays, he works late and comes back home too late.

Today, December 26th, the day right after Xmas is another special commercial day for it's the Boxing day, the day when most of the shops get into the SALE! You can therefore have very very good deals. I afford a brand new LCD computer screen of 22" for 100 CAD less than its normal price. A good friend of mine got to do a line-up to be able to get into the shop, bit by bit to avoid people from really boxing each other to get their deals... I could only take the LCD by this weekend for my friend doesn't live nearby.

One of my fellowworkers got a pair of tower speakers for about 400 CAD instead of 1000 CAD or so. We have installed together at his place and tested them, pretty damn good sounds, making me regret somehow what I possesed back in France, few years ago.


Tonight, feeling bored, tired and lonely (the roommate sleeps elsewhere for 2 nights...), I listen to the radio and rediscovered this lovely canadian (yes, another one) singer named Chantal Kreviazuk I'd like to share with you...

G'day everyone,

Finally, what we (my GF and I) expected for so long has come. The VISA for Canada is out there, waiting for her at the embassy and very soon, we are having our days, together again for good.

The weather is getting cooler today and wet. It's still raining outside.

However, in these happy moments, I've found a lovely music video of a quite romantic yet sad chinese movie, illustrating quite well my feelings. Hope you'll like it. Deep inside me, I feel much more happier than what the music can tell. Enjoy and take care folks.

Special Birthday this year

Better late than never but the so expectef present from my Lover was finally arrived yesterday the 12th. We honestly didn't expect it no more for we thought it was lost somewhere, somehow. Sent mid-Aug for my late August Birthday and it took weeks to arrive. Anyway, we are so happy now I have everything she took months and energy and love to find and keep them quiet, secret till lately ;-)

A champagne will be open this weekend to celebrate yet another test we'd just been through.

Summer Ending...

Sky getting darker and darker, days last shorter and shorter, weather cooler and cooler. It's almost the end of Summertime. I went on 32 yesterday, almost an ordinary day as every birthday actually. I don't mind much if I could spend it with my GF. Not this time, not this year yet. The immigration process of hers is progressing, slowly but surely. Few months to run hopefully and if everything is OK and should be OK. By the beginning of next year, we will start a new year together, her and I, happily ever after ;)

Last Saturday, I could go out photographing after too long period of time without practising one of my favourite hobbies.

Starting Over...

Hi folks,

Just like Nightwish, I'm starting over from next Monday to a new job place, geographically not far away from the last one ;) At the West of downtown of Montreal.

Better paycheck and more possibilities to do and elaborate things, normally, it should be interesting for me yet it's not totally what I ran after for a change.

So it will be another good experience hopefully and to prepare to get a better life afterwards for me, for my Lover coming (next year if everything is going smoothly and as wished), for Two of Us to be short ;)

Since yesterday, the weather seems to show some teasers for the Falls season. Maximum temperature is around 20°C and this morning, the wind makes me feel like I'm already in Autumn. That doesn't bother me much except spending time in cold almost lonely (without my Love but seeing some friends to comform me) is not a great picture. I have videos, Internet, computer games, new work and you to help me out and keep me up for a while.

Holidays July 2007

Spending my time almost alone on holiday. Fortunately with Her on the phone and always present in my mind everywhere and everytime. Sometimes our talks are about music and we exchange a lot on our music. Lately, she made me discover some good and new stuffs like Pilate, Our Lady Peace while I still hold on to oldies such as



Fortunately, our TV shows make us listen to some good and new ones too. I'm watching series like Heroes, the 4400, Smallville, Supernatural, 24, Prison Break with damn good music sometimes.

Otherwise, I'm starting to count months, weeks and days and if everything is going well, we will find each other again by next January 2008.

Summer '07...

Time Goes By, so Fast yet so Slowly for some reasons. Especially when lovers are apart.

How frustrating not to have the One beside You! The Sun shines bright but deep inside, it brights less. On the sunny days, I Wish I could be with her, walking along the streets, talking and sharing moments, go shopping, go to the cinema, to restaurants, on the terraces...

This is definitely one of the hardest and lonly summers I have to spend. How long do I Have to stand this loneliness ? Hope this is for the Best coming. This is my kind of SOS to the Greater Soul and Force to Help Us!



Enough of my sad feelings, I Have Her after All, Someone so Special who even far away Can Help Me to Handle it and her daily voice keeps me Warm and in Love, Making me feeling Better and Better and less Lonely. So for the Good and on better Notes, here are some latest photos I shot in Toronto...
